MILS, Myanmar Veterinary Association and Myanmar Livestock Federation jointly held a Seminar with Federation of Asian Veterinary Association (FAVA) to promote One Health

The "One Health" academic seminar was held on January 25th (Thursday) 2024 at the Royal Pavilion Hotel, Yangon with the support of Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences Co., Ltd which manufactures and distributes PROBIO products for livestock producers, Myanmar Veterinary Association-MVA and Myanmar Livestock Federation. 


There were 49 veterinarians and animal husbandry experts who attended the seminar. At the beginning of the seminar, Professor Dr. Tin Ngwe, President of the Myanmar Veterinary Association, gave a welcome speech and explained the seminar's objectives.





Prof. Dr. Isao KURAUCHI, the president of the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA) discussed the establishment of One Health Center and the One Health Initiatives that are currently in use in Japan, such as the One Health Certification System and the development of the Registration System for businesses based on the One Health Concept. Mr. Yoshimichi SHIBATA (Chairman of Japan One Health Creates, Inc.)  also presented One Health Creates' awareness-raising initiatives, including public relations campaigns and school education activities.


Then, U Kyaw Thu Htet (CEO of Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences) presented a discussion on the topic of "Fostering One Health Approach in Combating AMR in Myanmar from a Private Sector Perspective" and the development of One Health Approach through the operations of MILS. After the discussions, Dr. Than Hla, Executive Advisor of the Myanmar Livestock Federation, expressed thanks and concluded the ceremony successfully.


Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences is very proud and happy to have the opportunity to support this academic discussion. The One Health Approach is being considered and implemented by Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences, not only through training, workshops, and discussions but also through economic activities. MILS products such as PROBIO-P and PROSIO-S20 are also participating in the fight against Anti-microbial Resistance.
